Privacy and cookies

This page explains which personal data Domaine Albert Boillot collects on this website, why, how long it keeps them, and how you can exercise your rights.

Who is responsible for your data?

Domaine Albert Boillot, 2 ruelle Saint-Étienne, 21190 Volnay, France. For any question: dom.albert.boillot@wanadoo.fr or +33 3 80 21 61 21.

Which data, and what for?

  • Quote request: name, e-mail, phone (optional), delivery address and country, chosen wines, message. They are used to prepare your quote, then your order and its delivery.
  • Visit booking: name, e-mail, phone, date, option, number of people and language. They are used to organise your visit and to send you the confirmation and the reminder.
  • Messages (contact, trade, visit on another day): name, e-mail, phone (optional) and message, so that we can reply.
  • Customer account, if you create one: e-mail, encrypted password or Google account, contact details. It lets you follow your orders and find your history.
  • Sign in with Google, if you choose it: Google sends us your first name, last name, e-mail address and a Google account identifier. They are used only to create or open your customer account; for a new customer, the first and last names fill in their record. We receive neither your Google password nor any other data from your Google account, and we share this information with no one. You can remove the website’s access at any time from your Google account (third-party apps section).
  • News from the estate: only if you tick the box provided. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Each form also asks how you heard about the estate: this helps us know which ways of making ourselves known work.

How long do we keep them?

  • Your customer account (sign-in address, password or link with Google) is deleted after three years without signing in; an e-mail warns you thirty days beforehand. An account that was never activated is deleted three years after it was created. Your customer record and order history remain with the estate.
  • Invoices are kept for ten years, as required by law.
  • Quote requests, bookings and messages sent without an account are kept for three years after your last exchange with the estate.

Who can see them?

Only the estate’s team. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, hosts the website and delivers our e-mails. Google is involved only if you choose “Sign in with Google” or accept the map on the “Contact and directions” page. Your data are never sold or rented.

Your rights

You can access, correct or have your data erased, obtain a copy of them, object to their use and withdraw your consent to news from the estate. If you have an account, your customer area lets you correct your contact details and choose whether to receive our news. For everything else, including obtaining a copy of your data, having them erased or deleting your account, write to dom.albert.boillot@wanadoo.fr: the estate will reply within one month. Invoices are kept for the period required by law. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies

Cookies the website needs to work do not require your consent:

  • dab_session remembers your answer to the age check, your selection of wines and your account login, and protects the forms. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • dab_cookies remembers your choice below for six months.

The following cookies are set only with your consent:

  • the Google Maps map on the “Contact and directions” page, through which Google may set its own cookies;
  • the “Sign in with Google” window, which may appear by itself if you are signed in to a Google account in your browser: Google may then set its own cookies. Without your consent, the “Sign in with Google” button remains available on the sign-in page, and nothing is loaded from Google before you click it.

You have not made a choice yet.
